CTSNet Editor-in-Chief Joel Dunning spoke with Dr. Karan Shekar, a cardiac surgery resident at the Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bommasandra, Bangalore, India, about his winning video, “Robotic-Assisted Repair of Supracardiac Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return.” They discussed the details of the surgery and the advantages of using robotic techniques. Additionally, Dr. Shekar shared his experience working at the Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, his aspirations following residency, and provided insights into his next project.
